Land Surveyor – Civil Engineer

We would like to recruit a Land Surveyor Civil Engineer who is self-motivated, hardworking and dedicated individual.

We are an engineering practice based in Magherafelt which undertake a full range of design works for water and wastewater projects, throughout Northern Ireland and UK. We also undertake Land Surveys, Topographical Surveys and Setting Out.

The company is ISO 9001, 140001 & 45001 certified and Constructionline Gold accredited.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with all Land Surveys, Topographical Surveys and Setting Out
• Good understanding of survey techniques
• Using GPS equipment to collect site information

Requirements:

• Degree in Land Surveying / Civil Engineering
• Working knowledge of Total Stations, Digital Levels and GPS
• Working knowledge of survey processing software and editing in AutoCAD
• Proven experience of delivering projects to time and budget
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your own
• Full UK driving licence

Salary Range:
£25,000 – £35,000 pa
Working Hours:
40.25 pw Mon-Thu 8.00-5.00, Fri 8.00-4.00
Holidays:
28 days per year

Principal Civil Engineer

We would like to recruit a Principal Civil Engineer who would be interested in working towards a possible Directorship.

We are an engineering practice based in Magherafelt which undertake a full range of design works for water and wastewater projects, throughout Northern Ireland and UK. We also undertake specialist design of highway bridges, complex temporary works and structural piling throughout the UK. We pride ourselves on providing innovative solutions, in particular the constructability aspects of a project and from this we have secured a number of projects from repeat Clients.

The company is ISO 9001, 140001 & 45001 certified and Constructionline Gold accredited.

Responsibilities:

• Producing technical reports
• Providing assistance to senior management in the preparation of technical and financial proposals
• Contribute to work winning and preparation of bid documents
• Manage personal/team budgets and resources to achieve financial targets
• Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate apply best practice within the team environment
• Act in the role of Contractor’s Responsible Engineer
• Coordinating and ensuring the production of specification and drawings
• Undertaking concept design, feasibility studies and preliminary design
• Attendance at meetings with team, clients, contractors and statutory bodies, including Technical Approvals as required
• Provide supervision and training to staff

Requirements:

• Chartered Civil Engineer
• Effective communication skills in a Client facing role
• Proven experience of delivering projects to time and budget
• Proven experience of inspection, assessment and design of various structures
• 10 years design experience in a range of civil engineering projects
• Full UK driving licence

Salary Range:
£40,000 – £50,000 pa
Working Hours:
40.25 pw Mon-Thu 8.00-5.00, Fri 8.00-4.00
Holidays:
28 days per year

Not in the first instance
